Hi, I’m Izzy!

I’m a PhD student at the Stanford Psychology Department working with Dr. Jamil Zaki in the Stanford Social Neuroscience Lab. Before that, I worked as a lab manager in Brown's Department of Cognitive and Psychological Sciences with Dr. Oriel FeldmanHall. I study how emotion unfolds in our social lives, and the connections between emotion, sociality, and wellbeing. For example, how do we make inferences or predictions about emotion—our own and others'—during social interactions? How is our wellbeing connected to our emotional experience in social contexts? To study these questions, I leverage naturalistic methods like longitudinal social network studies and dyadic experience sampling, complemented by laboratory experiments.
